1. Complete and activate the Tiket.com rooms and rate plans before linking them.
2. Match the pricing model and each room-plan pair, not just similar names.
3. Approve the launch only after one authorized booking reaches the correct PMS record and changes availability once.
An OTA channel manager can send the right number to the wrong Tiket.com room. The connection may appear successful while the hotel sells a breakfast package as room-only or receives a reservation against the wrong room type.
Treat setup as a short launch project. First prepare the products, then connect and map them, and finally prove a booking can travel back into your Property Management System (PMS). OTA means online travel agency; calendar synchronization alone is not the same as this full workflow.
Prepare the Products and Pricing Model
In the Tiket.com Extranet, confirm the property and its identifier. Each intended room type should be complete and active. Each intended rate plan should also be active and attached to the right room. Resolve duplicate or obsolete products before linking them; do not create another room merely because the names differ between systems.
Make a working list of the PMS room and rate, their matching Tiket.com identifiers, and what the guest buys. Check meals, cancellation conditions, capacity, and the currency and price basis expected by the connection. The room name alone is not enough to distinguish flexible breakfast from non-refundable room-only.
Match Room-Based or Occupancy-Based Pricing
With room-based pricing, a nightly amount applies to the room within its allowed capacity. Occupancy-based pricing varies with guest count. Use the same supported model in Tiket.com and the channel manager.
For an occupancy-based connection, disable Tiket.com's automatic price reduction on the affected rate plans through Manage Rates & Availability as part of the supported setup. Otherwise, an additional reduction can interfere with prices already supplied by occupancy. Do not change the whole pricing model simply to fix one unexpected amount.
Agree who controls ordinary rates and inventory after activation. Also identify promotions or policy fields maintained separately; a working connection does not prove every commercial setting is synchronized.
If reception maintains Tiket.com manually while another employee updates the PMS, the same room can end up with two competing prices. Use a designated OTA channel manager workflow instead. With Smart Order, manage connected rates and room availability from the hotel workspace, then inspect the received reservation to check the actual room and offer sold.
Give Tiket.com One Clear Rate and Inventory Source
Keep connected room rates and availability in one workflow, then verify the reservation that comes back before opening a wider selling period.
Connect Tiket.com and Map Each Room-Plan Pair
Use the desktop Extranet for this sequence. Labels can vary with account permissions or interface updates. If a provider is already connected, arrange a controlled change with the responsible teams; do not treat adding a provider as a way to delete or replace the existing connection.
- Select the correct property and open Connectivity.
- Select the agreed channel manager from the provider list.
- Choose Add, then Continue, and retain the resulting connection confirmation.
- Open the Tiket.com connection in the channel manager and complete its room and rate-plan mapping.
- Match each room identifier, then its rate plans. Check the guest terms against your working list before saving.
- Send an approved initial rate and availability update for a controlled scope. Reopen the corresponding Extranet records and compare the stored result.
“Mapping” means linking matching products, not transferring a physical room number. A PMS category containing several identical rooms normally connects to its corresponding channel room type. Do not give every rate plan a separate invented room supply if those offers share the same rooms.
Before sending values, establish whether the provider's initial update covers only the selected scope or also other mapped products. Protect existing bookings and valid room blocks. A new source must not overwrite a genuine sold-out date with a default quantity.
Retain the connection's hotel identifier and the provider details shown in the Channel Manager Dashboard. They help distinguish a wrong-property connection from a wrong-room mapping later.
Prove the First Booking, Not Just the Price Update
Choose an approved test route. If a live booking is necessary, obtain authorization, use suitable dates, and understand payment and cancellation terms. A test reservation can still incur charges; do not assume a booking is cost-free because staff created it.
Use one specified room and rate plan. Search Tiket.com with the intended dates, guest count, and currency. Read through to the offer breakdown and compare meals, cancellation terms, price, and collection instructions before confirming.
For an illustrative room type with three sellable rooms, one new one-room booking should leave two available, assuming no other bookings, blocks, or adjustments occur. Compare a consistent snapshot rather than numbers taken around other sales.
Check the incoming booking in your PMS reservation calendar:
- The Tiket.com Itinerary ID identifies one reservation, not two copies.
- Property, stay dates, room type, and rate plan match the booked offer.
- Guest numbers, booking amount, currency, and payment instructions are understandable against the confirmation.
- The room commitment affects every booked night once, and the resulting sellable count is correct.
Compare equivalent amounts. A guest's final price and a hotel payment amount can serve different purposes, so do not “correct” a valid reservation solely because those totals differ.
If cancellation is part of the authorized test, submit it through the supported booking route and retain confirmation. Verify the PMS outcome and the released nights. If availability already returned, do not add the room again manually. Record any real charge or refund separately.
Hold the Launch When the Result Is Unclear
The Extranet price is wrong: check the linked room-plan pair, pricing model, occupancy values, and automatic reduction before sending another full update. Keep corrections limited to the affected scope.
The offer looks right but the booking is missing: search the whole PMS by Itinerary ID first. Then review Connectivity > Channel Manager Dashboard > Reservation Error Log, where available. Check the reported failure and resolve its cause before using the resend action. Repeated retries without a search can create duplicate handling.
The booking arrives against the wrong room: stop widening sales for that mapping. Preserve the confirmed guest obligation, correct the link, and verify how the existing reservation should be reassigned through the approved process.
Inventory changes twice or not at all: compare the received reservation with any manual placeholder or room adjustment. Establish which action actually committed the room before altering counts.
Approve wider sales only when the mapped offer, first reservation, and inventory result agree. Keep the mapping list, test reference, price evidence, and any unresolved exception with a named owner. A connection notification is useful evidence, but the completed booking test is what proves the hotel can operate the channel.
